First Batch of Shri Amarnath Yatra 2024 leaves for Holy Cave from Base Camp
Srinagar (Jammu & Kashmir), June 29, 2024: Marking the beginning of Annual Shri Amarnath Yatra 2024, the first batch of pilgrims was today flagged off for Yatra via Baltal Axis for revered Shri Amarnath Shrine here from Domail, Baltal Base Camp, Ganderbal.
First batch of pilgrims also left the Nunwan base camp here for the revered Shri Amarnath Shrine. The pilgrimage was flagged off for Yatra via Pahalgam Axis.
The pilgrims were seen enthusiastically chanting religious hymns while moving forward towards the Holy Cave of Lord Shiva.
Pertinently, all requisite arrangements with regard to basic amenities, healthcare and security arrangements have been put in place at the base camps and enroute the Holy Cave for comfort and convenience of devotees who are thronging the region for their pious pilgrimage.
The Shri Amarnath Shrine Board’s (SASB) control room is working 24x7 and coordinating with various stakeholders on the ground to ensure hassle-free pilgrimage.
The 52-day Shri Amarnath Yatra will conclude on 19th August, 2024
