Over 7.13 lakh had darshans of
Shiv Khori Cave Shrine this year
Reasi, October 22 - Keeping in view the growing popularity and religious sanctity of historic Shiv Khori Cave Shrine situated in Sanger hillock in the Reasi district of Jammu & Kashmir over 7.13 lakh pilgrims from within and various states of the country have visited and paid obeisance there during this current calendar year so far.
During the same period last year, about 4.24 lakh pilgrims had darshan of the holy Shiv Langam. Thus increase of over 2.89 lakh pilgrims has been registered up to this time this year. This was disclosed by the Deputy Commissioner, Reasi, Mr. Pandurang Pole who is also the Vice Chairman of Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board.
Presently, over 2000 pilgrims are reaching at the base camp daily for their onward journey to the cave shrine. During this month over 40, 267 pilgrims had darshans of the cave shrine so far.
It is expected that the pilgrimage to Shiv Khori Shrine would cross 10 lakh mark up to the end of this year.
The Shiv Khori Shrine Board under the Chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and Vice Chairman Deputy Commissioner, Reasi are making all out efforts to provide more and more infrastructural facilities to the visiting pilgrims.
