Jammu & Kashmir to showcase Cultural diversity, unique Artifacts in Festival of India
Srinagar (Kashmir), August 31- Jammu and Kashmir State will participate in Festival of India- ‘Delhi Celebrates’ to be organized in connection with ensuing Common Wealth Games (CWG) in New Delhi. This was revealed in a meeting, chaired by the Advisor to Chief Minister, Mr. Mubarak Gul here today.
The meeting decided to showcase its unique artefacts, handicrafts, handloom and world famous fruits in the upcoming mega event in national capital. To avail the opportunity, it was decided that unique cuisine of all the three regions (Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh) will form part of J&K’s stalls to showcase Cultural diversity of the State.
The exhibition is a real opportunity to boost economic prospects of the entrepreneurs, industrialists and the traders whose varied products will be put up in the exhibition. The J&K State has already been provided ample space for the purpose at Delhi Haat.
Addressing the meeting, the Advisor called for making coordinated efforts for successful conduct of the exhibition. He called for making arrangements for the staff to be deputed in the exhibition in advance.
The Advisor said that participation of Jammu and Kashmir in the high profile function will promote brotherhood and strengthen communal harmony. He said such events call for visionary outlook to derive utmost benefits for the State and its people.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner Secretary, Tourism, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Commissioner Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Director General Sports, Director Information, Director Hospitality & Protocol, Secretary Cultural Academy and Special Secretary in Chief Minister’s Private Office. |
